A world wide survey of the environmental performance of nations was presented at the 'World Economic Forum' in Davos, Switzerland, recently. The study called as 'Environmental Performace Index 2012' was conducted by 'The Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and Columbia's Center for International Earth Science Information Network' from Yale and Columbia universities, USA.
After observing performance of 132 countries on 22 different environment related parameters, these were combined to give rankings for nations on various environmental sectors.These 10 sectors are given below along with India's rank in each sector.
